Abstract

Records of the Eastern Echo student newspaper, formerly the Normal News and the Normal College News. The collection (1881-2010) includes business records, staff lists, financial documents, news clippings related to the Echo, awards, correspondence, programs from newspaper events, publicity and advertising materials.

The Harold E. Sponberg papers documents the tenure of Eastern Michigan University President Harold E. Sponberg, 1965-74. Included in this collection are records documenting his Inauguration, Retirement, Office and Personal files. Of particular note are his alphabetically organized office files documenting policy changes on campus in the late 1960s, expansion of campus buildings and course offerings.

The collection includes pamphlets and booklets written by students, articles from student newspapers, and Eastern Michigan University sponsored student life booklets.
